Turmeric Face Mask


Want glowing skin?






  • Gather  4 tbsp turmeric powder
  • Gather 4 tbsp raw honey
  • Gather 1 tbsp almond milk

  • Combine all the ingredients and mix well to get a smooth paste.
  • Cleanse your face or affected skin by washing with water.
  • You can dip a washcloth in hot water, wring out the excessive water, and place over your skin and let it be there for about 5 minutes. This process helps bring pus in the acne to the surface.
  • Pat dries your skin.
  • Apply the honey-turmeric paste to your skin and gently massage in and leave on for about 10 minutes.
  • Rinse and moisturize your skin.



Notes: At first this was not one of my favorite mask... key words, "at first." Working with turmeric is very messy so you must wear old clothes and be very cautious when using it. The mixture felt fine once on my face but it did have an unusual smell that wasn't to my liking...I have a sensitive nose. So, after about 10-20 mins, I decided to wash it off and I could stop laughing after seeing my skin was still yellow as well as the whole skin. I then put aloe on my face and went to sleep. The next morning I used my mild cleanser along with my scrub brush and most of the yellow tint went away. My skin did have a glow but I couldn't tell if I was still just seeing yellow. It is definitely not a mask and then go about your day type of thing. You really have to have the time before and after applying this mask but yes, eventually the yellowish tinge on your skin left by turmeric will go away.

Since I had some mixture left, I decided to try it again the next week, but this time only concentrating on the scarred marks, instead of applying to entire face, and I liked it the mask so much better. The smell wasn't as strong to me and I did notice a visible difference in my scars lightening up which made me a fan. 

 Today, this is a must mask for me. After a while of using turmeric on my face, I can honestly say I noticed a huge difference in my acne scars which have tremendously have lightened up. If you're bold enough to try this mask, let me know how it goes and if you like it!
