We all know stress can be the cause of why one gets acne bumps on their face. While stress doesn’t directly cause acne or breakouts, it does act as a trigger for the factors that contribute to acne development, like excess oiliness. Cells in the body produce sebum have receptors for stress hormones. Sebum is the oily substance that mixes with dead skin cells and bacteria to clog the hair follicles, leading to a pimple or acne cyst.


One way to de-stress the mind, body, and soul, is through meditation. Meditation helps keep the mind calmer and more focused. A simple 5-10 minute breathing meditation can help you to overcome your stress and find inner peace and balance.
