To Pop Or Not To Pop...

That is the question...

But unless you are a professional dermatologist, do no pop, poke, peel, or squeeze your acne bumps!

It's only natural to want to quickly get rid of that acne bump that is protruding out from underneath your skin, so the short time solution is to pop so it would look smaller. However, that short term decision could have long term effects when you're left with deep acne scarring.

Pimples hold oil, debris, and acne bacteria. If you pick at your pimple you can force the debris and bacteria even deeper into your skin. You also risk introducing new kinds of bacteria from your finger/nails into the zit. This can cause the pimple to become more red, inflamed, swollen and infected, and can lead to permanent scarring.

The best thing you can do when getting rid of acne pimples is use natural solutions, and have patience. Stressing about bumps can only make you break out more. Your bumps will go away and it's better to leave it alone now, then to deal with scarring forever.
