Rosehip Seed Oil For Clearing Acne Scars

Some people are obsessed with make-up, shoes, bags...my obsession is organic essential oils and it doesn’t get any better than rosehip seed oil for getting rid of acne scars.

Not to get confused with rose essential oil, rosehip oil stands out from other essential oils because of its high vitamin A content, which binds the skin cells together and acts as an astringent, washing away impurities and tightening up your skin.

If you look at most cosmetic products like moisturizers, shampoos, and lotions you will see rosehip oil added for its skin and hair rejuvenating and healing properties.

Rosehip oil not only helps heal wounds and burns and removes scars, but it does it fast all the while keeping your skin hydrated. It also helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks, age spots, scars and hyperpigmentation. The vitamin C antioxidants stimulate collagen production.

Due to the antioxidants, rosehip oil has the ability to penetrate into deeper layers of skin. The essential fatty acids in rosehip oil can help reduce scarring and promote skin regeneration, giving skin a youthful look.

How To Apply:

Rosehip oil is widely used in various skin care products, However, it’s best to actually purchase rosehip seed oil and mix it with a safe carrier oil to make your own topical applications. The best way to apply organic rosehip seed oil is as a daily serum.

Cleanse face with a mild cleanser and pat dry. Gently massage two to three drops of rosehip oil onto your freshly washed face twice a day, once in the morning and at night.

Pay attention to scarred areas and allow oil to absorb into the skin. You will see how light weight rosehip oil is. Follow up with a moisturizer for morning time since the oil does not protect against sunburn. While it can prevent and reduce acne scars, it shouldn’t be applied directly to active acne. You can also mix it with a safe carrier oil and use it as a massage oil.

Notes: I seriously love this oil and use it every morning and night and it has changed my life. I use to go to sleep fine but then wake up with pimples in the morning and super dry skin. However, now after the cleanse, mask, toners...I use this oil to moisturize with at night and it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated in the morning, which means no morning breakouts. Rosehip seed oil truly does fade the appears of my existing acne scars and it can for you too.
